Can I try Commerce Cart before I pay
anything? You can try Commerce Cart for 30 days before you
have to pay anything. If you're not satisfied you can delete your Commerce
Cart within 30 days. If you decide to keep it open, charges begin
automatically after 30 days.
Can I delete my Commerce Cart any time I want? Yes, you can
delete your Commerce Cart at any time if you are not completely satisfied.
Just log in to manage your Commerce Cart, go to the Registration section,
click on the Cart Name step, and you will be given the option to delete
your Commerce Cart. Once you delete, you will no longer be charged a
monthly fee. If you pay for a full year up front, we will refund your
payment according to how long your Commerce Cart remained open.
Are there any extra costs such as set-up fees or transaction fees
with iCat Commerce Cart? There are no set-up fees. Transaction fees
may be applied if you decide to include online credit card payment
processing to your Commerce Cart. Learn more about credit card processing

Do I need a merchant account before I can build a Commerce
Cart? If you want to be able to accept credit card payments, you
need to establish a merchant account. Because it can take some time to
secure an account, you can build your Commerce Cart first, then open it
for business and begin accepting credit cards once your merchant account

How much programming knowledge do I need to use Commerce
Cart? All you need is some basic knowledge of HTML. No other
programming or scripting skills are needed.
Do I have to use a particular type of browser to build a Commerce
Cart? To take advantage of all that Commerce Cart has to offer, you
should use a 4.0 or higher version Web browser to build and manage your
Commerce Cart. You may use either Netscape or Internet Explorer. To
download the latest versions of these browsers, visit the Netscape or Microsoft Web
sites.
Do you offer any design or building services? If you would
like to hire a graphics designer to design graphics for your site, or a
Web developer to actually build your site and set up your Commerce Cart,
you can consult the iCat Commerce
Online Developer Network. The network is a database of designers and
developers that you can search by service type and/or geographical

Can I change my Commerce Cart once I've built it? Yes, you
can change and update your Commerce Cart at any time from any location.
Can I change my Commerce Cart even while I'm open for
business? Yes, changes can be made even while it is open for
business.
How will I know when someone places an order? When you build
your Commerce Cart, you can choose to have e-mail notifications sent to
you every time an order is placed. This way you can be sure that you are

How do shoppers pay me for their orders? When you build your
Commerce Cart, you can choose the types of payments you want to accept.
You can choose from a variety of payment options, including checks, credit

How are credit card orders processed? Processing a credit
card order online involves a number of different components. iCat makes
this potentially complicated process easy by offering our Online Payment
Service, which is included in your low monthly fee. You can learn more

purchase is processed and converted into real dollars in your merchant

Do you offer real-time authorization and fraud protetion for credit
card payments? Yes, the iCat Commerce Online Payment
Service does include real-time authorization and fraud protection.

Is your service secure? iCat hosts all Commerce Carts on
secure servers that utilize the industry's standard Secure Socket Layer
(SSL) encryption.
Can my customers buy my products by fax or phone? You can
indicate to your shoppers that you will take fax/phone orders by adding a
graphic to your Commerce Cart. You can choose to offer this option during
the set-up process.
Can iCat help me promote my products? iCat has teamed up with
a variety of shopping sites and portals to help you get greater exposure
for your products and increase your online sales. The Product
Promotion Network is a fee-based program that allows you to add your
products to the shopping services of sites such as Excite, CNNfn, and Go
Network and potentially get them viewed by millions of motivated shoppers.
Can iCat help me promote my site? iCat has partnerships with
a variety of online marketing service companies including Submit It!,
NameSecure, and DoubleClick. Marketing services are fee-based and include
cooperative banner ad buying, search engine registration, and custom URL

Does iCat have to host my site or can I choose my own
ISP? Your site will be hosted on the ISP of your choice. When you
purchase a Commerce Cart, only the commerce components of your site will
be hosted by iCat.
Can I sell my products internationally? Your site is
accessible to Internet users worldwide. If you choose to accept credit
cards, you will make it easy for people around the world to purchase your
products. In addition, Commerce Cart allows you to list product prices in
a number of foreign currencies if you wish, making it even more convenient
for international shoppers to buy from you. Anyone wishing to set up a
Commerce Cart in a country outside the United States can do so.
